Pickleball Is Coming to the Han River Pickleball is gaining momentum in Seoul. The city has confirmed the opening of 14 outdoor pickleball courts at Gwangnaru Hangang Park, transforming an underused soccer field along the Han River into a new public sports space. Until now, Seoul has operated only 8 public outdoor courts. With the Gwangnaru courts opening in spring 2026, the total will increase to 22, marking a meaningful expansion of public pickleball infrastructure. Usage fees are expected to be around KRW 8,000 for two hours, similar to public tennis courts, and the venue may also host future pickleball tournaments.
