2024 OXFORD ALABAMA OPEN(Two Star - USATT Sanctioned)​ DATE: Saturday, August 10, 2024 ELIGIBILITY: Open to members of USATT.Memberships are available on this entry form.Due to space, entries limited to 50 players.NOTE: ENTER EARLY, WE EXPECT TO SELL-OUT. FORMAT: Similar to Decatur Open: two-tierdouble round robin. 1st Round: 5 upper-tiergroups, 5 lower (groups of 5 are planned).Top 25 rated players will play in the top tier;remaining 25 in tier 2. 2nd Round: Groups of 5.The top 2 finishers in a first round groupadvance to the Open (BBB for 2nd tier); places 3and 4 to AA (BB, 2nd tier) and 5th to A (B, 2ndtier). Note: all players advance to the secondround! Single-elimination playoffs will followthe 2nd round robin in Open, AA, BBB and BB.No playoffs in groups A and B. Matches are 3games out of 5 except the Open Finals will bebest of 7. Current USATT ratings will be used fordraw, or referee estimate. SCHEDULE: Play starts at 9:00 a.m. Players mustregister no later than 30 minutes prior to starttime. Players not on time may be defaulted. Theplaying site will be open for practice 5-7 p.m.Friday, Aug 9th and at 7 a.m. Saturday.
